A tad expensive but it's a great place to hang out with friends and get that I always experience! I would say that sometimes they do charge you for items that you didn't order so I would make sure to check the receipt! The food is great though and even the sushi is yummy!

Amazing food!! Some of the best flavors I've tried. Everything is authentic and freshly prepared. If you like sweet try Nasu-Miso, even if you don't like sweet still try it-- the only way words that can describe the flavor would be like a warm donut. Sounds crazy but it's amazing. The beef and pork belly are skewers I typically order I like the quality over the chicken which seems cooked more than my liking. The service lacks a bit on friendliness which is understandable how busy they are. Overall a great dinner spot very intimate and delicious!

Food still tastes great. Prices still relatively high on many dishes especially with the recent inflation on all things across the board. Service was better and more attentive than ever. It's my favorite Japanese restaurant in town!

This place is very much consistent with the quality of food. Everything comes out very fast but I highly recommend ordering skewers first before the other dishes because they take the longest. The staff are very nice and greet you when you come in and leave. It's super pricey though because skewers are $2-3 so it can add up depending how much you are ordering. Everything else is below $20 and everything is super yummy. I only come here once in awhile because it comes out $100+ anytime I come with my bf

If you want to experience a type of Japanese tavern, I do recommend coming here. The meats here are delicious and if you drink their beer with your friends. You'll have a really fun time. The ladies were attentive and didn't look annoyed even though we asked them for a few things. The only thing about this place is that the location is small and their yelp waitlist is in person and not on the app so expect to have a long wait

We were visiting our friends and they suggested Kappo Honda. We were craving Japanese. We had a party of 6. This place doesn't take rsvp- it's first come first serve. We arrived around 6-7pm. And the wait was about 30 min. The restaurant was very nice and the servers were very helpful. We all were so hungry so there are no photos. But we did order a lot of food. Pork cheek was one i remembered ordering a few times. My kids liked their sesame fried chicken. Crispy Rice tuna, dashmaki tamago, agadashi tofu, crunchy roll to name a few! Everything was on point and delicious. Nothing like enjoying a good meal with great company! Definitely would eat here again!

The overall ambience and good was great. I had no complaints whatsoever about the food. I think the service was a little bit iffy when I would order food the server seemed a little bit unfriendly and wasn't really attentive to our table. It would be nice to have a friendly service if I've waited 45 min to get a table. Overall they have good food but not the greatest service.

Besides the wait this place is great. The food has never been bad and while the price is a little high I feel it's pretty worth it. The service is good although the tables and menus here are always a little sticky lol. Besides that though a great place and solid vibes.

Everything we tried was solid!! The udon was very flavorful, even a little bit on the salty side for me. Dinner here was a good time with great service and chill ambiance. The wait was about 25-30 minutes at 6ish on a Friday night - I assume it gets busier as the night goes on. I'll be back for sure!

I've been coming to this restaurant that doesn't even have any new or used Honda vehicles to sell. Would be nice to buy a nice little Honda for myself with my meal though. LOL, I'm kidding. After the third visit at Kappa Honda in Fountain Valley (Orange County). I decided it's worth going to every month or week. When I get to the seat, I got the menus and a sheet of paper menu for the skewers which I call it appetizer. As long I get my meatball skewers, I'm a happy person. Other good skewers option are leg meat, Japanese beef, pork belly, and many more. Now for the good stuff, I like getting those Alaskan rolls, especially with some salmon roes on top really made it real presentable. Last night, I've ordered the Fountain Valley rolls which they only offered on Wednesday. It's 6 different tastes in one roll. Comes with salmon, albacore, avocado top of spicy tuna roll, & rainbow, ell, baked scallop on top of California roll. Sounds so good right? LOL. It is indeed. Service is great as always. Wait time can be long, especially on the weekend. Just be aware of that. Overall.... will be back again soon. 5 stars.
